PERTINENCE MINING is a company created in May 2002 with the objective of providing its customers with information processing technologies to quickly go to the essential, and reduce the time spent searching for information using it.

Dr A. LEHMAM, Ph.D in computer linguistics, founder of PERTINENCE MINING has 16 years of experience in the area of automatic text summarization and NLP. He has published many scientific contributions on this topic, both in France and internationally.

The company was launched after an 18-month test period during which the automatic text summarization product Pertinence Summarizer was made available online (in January 2001). Many users worldwide sent feedback and descriptions of their needs regarding text summarization via a form displayed under the produced text summary.

After developing the KENiA® (Knowledge Extraction and Notification Architecture) technology, Pertinence Mining is preparing new applications to best exploit relevant information.
